Rosalia Vila is the Spanish flamenco and pop singer. From the time she was an teen, she has been involved in traditional and popular music. But, her musical interests also extend to other genres including hip-hop and soul. Pepe Habichuela, a flamenco guitar player with a lot of talent, describes her voice by saying it was smooth with a classic sound. After her 2017 debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer an Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist her 2018 follow-up El Mal Querer was a important commercial and critical breakthrough topping Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and finally getting the Grammy. The song La Fama featuring the Weeknd was released in 2021. Motomami was her third studio album comprised songwriting collaborations featuring Cory Henry, James Blake as well as other musicians. The release date was the 20th March in 2022 in the wake of the live performance of Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia is the very first Spanish vocalist to appear solo on the program. Motomami is her album, which won the three Latin Grammy Awards also made Rosalia the first female artist to win an award for Latin Album of the Year win twice.
