MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player within music in the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received the Colombian Kids Choice Award as The Most Popular Song for the year 2017. In Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and released ADN as his debut full-length album. It reached the number 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he became part of Ozuna for his Top Five smash Vaina Loca. The group released Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album the years following. Then, in 2021 the singer sang a duet 2021 alongside TINI on her hit song Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo is a musician born into a musical family. Both his parents also played the guitar. In his interviews, he's talked about the music he plays as a compulsory activity. In his childhood he was taught to play the piano, guitar as well as the ukulele. The first goal was to be an vet but when his brother Julian encouraged him to take lessons with an Cuban singer, he altered his the direction of his career.
