Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico was born to the music-loving parents of her family. The majority of her early years listening to classical music and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic tunes along with older classical songs. Ana loves tangos as well the dramatic and opera performances. When she was 16 years old, she began singing and learning the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to give her more intense singing instruction. Her musical education continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a student, and when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choruses. After 2000, she emigrated to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she returned to her current home in Southern California. She currently performs classic Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Her passion for the performing arts, music, and the arts keeps her engaged in local projects in both her capacity as an artist and instructor. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
